Description

Hand-Painted Four Armed Chengrezig with Manjushri and Vajrapani:

This hand-painted thangka of the Four-Armed Chengrezig, flanked by Manjushri and Vajrapani, is a striking depiction of Buddhist deities symbolizing compassion, wisdom, and power. Chengrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is depicted with serene and compassionate features, holding a lotus flower, a prayer bead, and a vase containing immortality nectar. To Chengrezig’s right is Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, who holds a flaming sword to cut through ignorance and a lotus bearing the Prajnaparamita sutra, symbolizing wisdom. On his left is Vajrapani, the Bodhisattva of Power, who is depicted with a dynamic expression, holding a vajra, symbolizing the power to overcome obstacles and transform negative forces. The thangka's background is richly detailed with vibrant colors and intricate patterns, featuring auspicious symbols and celestial motifs. The meticulous brushwork and use of natural pigments demonstrate the artist's skill and dedication, making it a profound spiritual artifact.

This thangka is ideal for meditation and contemplation, offering inspiration and guidance through the virtues of compassion, wisdom, and power. It can be purchased from various online platforms and specialty art stores, inviting the blessings of Chengrezig, Manjushri, and Vajrapani into your life.

I visited the premises in Boudha in person. Its not just next to the stupa like many shops but a little way away and easy to find with Googlemaps - just ask locals when you get there as they didn't have an obvious sign, at least when I visited. They have modern studios, workshops and a salesroom all in the same buildng. Bipin was very helpful and I examined several bhavacakra thankas before settling for a beautifully detailed one. The brocade was added in a day or two and the final thanka was delivered to my hotel very carefully and robustly packaged. I was very happy with the thankas I bought and very happy with the service, Definitely recommended!

An absolutely phenomenal thangka: among the highest quality thangkas I've been blessed to acquire. The quality of the painting is truly stunning, and the brocade is also of the highest order. A joy to receive! The seller is also very kind, attentive, and helpful. All around a pleasure to support this shop, and I look forward to purchasing from them again in the future!
