Really Great Customer Service and very beautiful thangka collection.
This is a magnificent piece of Buddha Shakyamuni thangka. Masterfully executed in rich, vibrant colors with illuminating detail; The silk brocade frame compliments the painting beautifully and forms a focal point in our praying/meditation room I receive the piece earlier than expected in good shape; and prior to purchase, Rajendra was responding quickly and very helpful in providing high resolution picture for my further evaluation. Thank you Rajendra and surely I will be back again.

It was kismet to find this exquisite White Tara, a gift for my good friend on her 30th birthday, on Ritual Thanka's Etsy. They have so many practice-quality paintings created by true craftsmen, and the purchasing process is easy. When I called Ritual's contact number to ask a question, their sales manager answered and took action to help even though it wasn't his normal job. (Thanks, Rajendra!) They also sent me a brief personal video showing the packed thangka ready for shipping, and got it out the door quickly -- in the face of the covid pandemic, no less. I am thrilled with my Mahakala thanka, which is even more beautiful than the pictures posted on Etsy. The shipping was fast, and my purchase arrived safe and sound rolled up in a very thick protective cardboard tube. The brocade framing is stunning, and the detail on the painting sublime. We have had this Carved Guru Dragpo Conch shell with Semi-precious stone in our collection for over 15 years now. This Conch shell was stored away for several years. We just very recently decided to showcase our vintage conch shell on platforms such as Etsy. We were thrilled to discover the quality and depth of these beautiful carvings when we opened the boxes and decided to showcase them online for everyone. In early 2000 we changed our company name from J.B.Art Center to Ritual Thanka and focused primarily on collecting and selling thangka paintings. Due to Covid 19, we have had to change our business strategy and focus more on online platforms. We hope the aesthetics of this vintage conch shell brings a deep sense of happiness to your hearts.
Several forms of the Buddhist meditational deity Tara hold a conch shell. Generally, these forms of Tara are related to the Eight Auspicious Symbols.

The Bon religion has similar offering goddesses to the Buddhist offering systems. They also hold white conch shells. There is also a retinue deity within the Walse Ngampa meditation practices that wears a white conch shell as a helmet. The Tibetan Buddhist worldly deity Tsangpa Karpo wears a conch shell on the top of his headdress as an ornament.
Guru Dragpo has been carved in this conch shell. He originated in the 'Revealed Treasure' Tradition of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, which is a wrathful meditational form of Padmasambhava. Although technically a guru-yoga practice the function of Guru Dragpo is that of an ishtadevata (meditational deity/yidam).
This is a truly magnificent antique hand-carved conch shell trumpet that has been masterfully carved with the image of Guru Dragpo.
A Shankha or a conch shell is a ceremonial and religiously important ritual item and is of huge significance in Buddhist and Hindu culture. It has different connotations in both traditions. In Buddhist practices, the conch shell addresses the glory of Buddha's teachings that spread every which way like the sound of snails.
