This Vajrasattva Yab Yum Thangka shows The Primordial Buddha in union with this consort Vajravarahi, a profound portrayal of wisdom and purity. The Bodhisattva of Purification is depicted sitting elegantly on a brilliant lotus base, signifying spiritual purity. He holds a bell in his left hand, which symbolizes wisdom and emptiness, and a vajra (thunderbolt) in his left, which stands for unbreakable truth. Vajravarahi, his consort, is a symbol of transcendental wisdom; she is holding a kapala, or skull cup, in her left hand. This artwork is hand-painted with vibrant acrylic colors for a long-lasting finish. The 24K gold accents add a radiant, mystical touch.
Their union represents the interdependence of compassion and wisdom necessary for enlightenment and spiritual cleansing.
